                                                         ANNUAL RIDE AND CEREMONY

HONORING CRAZY HORSE   AND THE WARRIORS OF HIS BAND

In addition to our efforts to proclaim September 6th a National Holiday, an annual  ride to honor Crazy Horse and the Warriors of his band will  begin on September 2nd in Porcupine, SD. Crazy Horse and his warriors never signed any treaties. The descendants of the warriors of the Crazy Horse band began this ride in 1999 from Chadron, NE to Fort Robinson and have held ceremonies at Fort Robinson, NE on September 6. In 2003 we expanded to a four day ride from Porcupine, SD to Fort Robinson, NE.

Senator Johnson's office is in the process of re-introducing Senate Resolution 224 to declare the holiday.
