The Storm of July 11, 1993 did not pass without consequence. A funnel  cloud
passed over this lodge and lifted it off the occupants. The collapsed lodge landed
about one hundred yards down the hill, dragging one person with it. All the poles
of the lodge were broken, but other than a thourough drenching and  a brief moment
of terror and surprise for the unfortunate occupants, no one was was injured. The
other people in the camp donated a pole from their lodges and helped re-erect the
Tipi in quick fashion. Drying everything out took a bit longer.
